Everyone wants to game Google search results for their campaigns, if fact, I’ve seen people submit all sorts of attempts to Digital Buzz, and most don’t work as portrayed, some to do a degree, perhaps once, or for one week…
This campaign from the guys at SEA-Team, have attempted to game Google Image Search for Volkswagen, which does feel realistic given the keywords optimised for, but I only got images from people posting about the campaign… So here is the case study… Check it out and let us know what you think!
Conceptually, this is a really cool idea. Its innovation and creativity will certainly demand customer attention. This will only occur, however, if it works properly.

To be honest, I really believe this is a bit of a gimick. A nice idea, but a gimick. In that the true purpose of search is to deliver users relevant results based on what they’re searching for. Yes, good ideas are critical in marketing, but let’s also remember that delivering what the user actually does want is also in an incredibly powerful (albeit simple) approach.
