Hi everyone, my new colleagues launched a great new campaign for Vodafone in Netherlands, called: BlackBerry Hideout. The Dutch divisions of Vodafone and BlackBerry wanted to target the new BlackBerry Curve 8520 to Dutch students.
So, Achtung! developed a campaign in which two young guys (Benoit and David) hide BlackBerry Curve 8520-smartphones at 10 Dutch universities. With clues, given on their site and hidden in around the university, they give students a chance to find the phones. They will hide 1 phone a day at every university over a period of 5 days, starting on Monday the 16th of November.
You can follow these guys on Facebook, Twitter and the Dutch social network Hyves on which they keep you updated on their research (this week) and new clues (next week). Its a clever way of mixing social media and traditional digital advertising stuff. You can check out the website here.
