This video, as you can imagine, is getting some serious viral traction at the moment, with almost 4 million views in just a few days and over 25,000 shares in the last 24 hours alone and rising. It paints a pretty funny scenario around a horrible real life event. I can’t begin to image, what, if anything, BP could actually do to fix their social image with videos, blogs, tweets and the like are popping up every day, generating world wide exposure to rival the world cup (almost!). What would you be doing in BP’s situation? I’m thinking re-brand!

Hilarious video, I can’t believe I haven’t seen it on Facebook yet… (its there now!).
Re-brand would just draw attention to the fact they’re re-branding, which will draw attention to the fact that its a re-brand because of the oil spill… To put it succinctly.
Besides that I think Kevin Costner summed up BP’s position at the end of his telephone call.
