This is a new mobile statistics video by Qualcomm focused on the future of mobile and more importantly the future of mobile data growth which is taking off with the launch of the iPad and forecast to skyrocket over the coming year. The video is quite insightful, but isn’t a challenger to the Socialnomics statistics video that is the current stat video trophy holder! (thanks Nikola!)

After seeing one or two of these, they really lose their “wow” factor. I mean, sure if Facebook was a nation, blah blah… who cares? A lot of people watch TV too. I think if digital marketing is going to be taken more seriously, the hype-marketing/ego-stroking digital stats videos should be left behind.

I agree with Mike – I’m gonna make a stats video about wheels.
Wheels are awesome.
The worldwide growth of wheels is astronomical, and they’re all round.
If you were run over by every wheel in the world you’d be, like, really squashed…

Less stats required and more focus on what’s really important – how to make mobile work. There are some great case studies out there why not use them Qualcomm – they will sell the product better.
