While a lot of the examples here are very much in the “Future”, companies are powering ahead with concepts to push touch screen digital displays to the next level. So here is a future vision video by Corning, the guys who make the Gorilla Glass that is used on over 200 million mobile devices, on where they are hoping to take multi-touch digital displays over the next few years…

Love all the concepts of the video, but not sure I’m onboard with the glass bus shelters… unless the near future quickly shapes into some kind of utopia
Nice this is seriously cool innovation. I hope I’m still alive when this “not to distant future” arrives! I believe that those involved in the digital world and those that can afford it will be living in a world of their own. Those that do not live in the digital world or can’t afford will be left behind. A long way behind. Sometimes I think digital is moving to quickly for its own good.
the technology innovates faster as we can imagine, some of illustrated displays from this video will be possible in the near future I think.
Amazing to see the glass displays being used through the home and work and interacting with mobile devices.
It could absolutely change the way we interact with our world.
A lot less paper and the portable glass display as a book looks pretty groovy too. It’s a lot sleeker than the kindle. But am I the only one who wonders how the bathroom and kitchen surface displays will keep smear free, so you can see them? Thinking of steamy surfaces and sticky fingers…
@ Jon – agree
Very interesting – no beaches or deserts [or poor people] left as it’s all glass
Very futuristic. Does this glasses already exist? Thanks for posting.
Love the orange juice glass!
Great! we’ll finally be able to text messages while brushing my teeth… future is bright!…
