It’s AR face recognition within Flash.

Kids could get collection cards at a supermarket. The flash app could recognize, via the webcam, up to 226 different cards. 24 of those cards were magical AR cards.

We are in the AR domain from mid 2007 and did the worlds first AR magazine for consumer PCs (november 2008), Dutch first web AR app (NIGZ campaign, february 2009) and we did consultancy work for the above Adidas project. What’s next? http://www.buzzar.net (starting at November 2010).

Yes, I thought the Adidas one would be a little debatable. I’ve included it here because of the unique application of the technology and obviously the hype surrounding it’s launch. I think it shows what brands can do by building content into products.

I get into a bit of amateur astronomy and came across a great iPhone app called Pocket Universe (pUniverse). Give that a whirl. You won’t be disappointed!
