Most of you will know I’m a keen snowboarder and today I head off to Japan in search of their mystical powder that is said to rival the worlds best. Knee deep, super dry and that’s the normal days when it isn’t snowing! I’m handing over the challenge to good mates Casey Glass & Fethi Uluak to try and keep digital buzz pumping while I’m away, which shouldn’t be hard, they already post some amazing things here, so you won’t be disappointed!

Heading to japan over the next 2 weeks? Let me know, I’ll be down in Hakuba (Nagano) just 2 hours on the bullet train from Tokyo. It’s a strip of 10+ ski resorts with 3,000m+ mountains!

They’ve been my desktop for 3 months since booking and I can’t wait! See you all in 2 weeks!

Help us share the digital goodness!

Hey mate, have a nice trip and enjoy in Japan!

..heard about Hakuba before, cool place for snowboarding. You’ll have to send some pictures later, I”m curious about the place :)

      Mate have a good shred!

Think I posted this last year hopefully you get some inspiration from it too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_apK6RkR2M

Used to live in Japan and some of the best back woods boarding was up in Iwate and Akita prefectures, way north of Nagano. If you can spare 2-3 days, it’s worth a look. Just ask any native Japanese boarder you meet in Nagano.

      Have fun!

Aden – you’ll love it mate. I’m an integrated ad man by day and part hotel owner by night. I’m sure you’ve already seen the powder and the mountains, but recommend you check out this clip of a recent trip I did to Cortina, Hakuba. http://www.youtube.com/doubleblackhotel

If you’re interested you need to check in with Damian over at Hakuba Alpine Guides who can sort you out with the same.

Our staff would love to see you at the bar for happy hour 4.30-6.30. You can find more details on the place, as well as some of my handy work on the hotel website http://www.doubleblackhotel.com

      Cheers
