I’m a few days late on this (was out of the Country!) but it’s worth a look if you haven’t yet seen it just yet. Called “A Hunter Shoots A Bear”, this interactive YouTube takeover campaign from Tipp-Ex has racked up over 2.5 million views on the initial start video and over 3.5 million channel views in the last week. It starts out with a 30 second video where a hunter discovers a bear in his camp and needs to shoot it, after that, it’s all in your hands when he can’t make the shot and uses “Tipp-Ex White & ReWrite” to remove the “Shoots” word out of the title in favour of almost unlimited response videos to your suggestions! Try things like shoots, kisses, tickles, kicks, sings .etc and if you can’t match a video, you’ll get one of about 10 great (but useless) fillers! It clearly has a Subservient Chicken feel, but this is still a great use of YouTube. Nice work by BuzzMan.

wow, that is an amazingly clever idea. I’d say it’s actually a great use of technology to engage the user. a brilliant example of how to lure your audience over the line between consuming content and interacting with content.
