Sometimes we just need to see cool stuff. And this is one of those times, introducing TACTILU – a bracelet for remote tactile communication that allows one person to physically touch another, while they are apart. I know where you mind went, but it’s not that. Yet.
TACTILU is a research project embracing remote haptic/tactile communication. TACTILU takes a form of a bracelet capable of transmitting the touch between two individuals via bluetooth and internet connection provided by the smartphones. I’ts based on technologies like flexinol wire for actuation of touch and QTC (quantum tunneling composite) on the touch sensor layer.
