In the latest recruitment drive the Swedish Armed Forces enlisted DDB Stockholm to create an engaging online game, placing potential would-be soldiers in a multiplayer team challenge.
Once loaded players have the option to create a team or connect to a group of players already online. Teams consist of four players and if you opt to create your own team you can send a link to three friends to participate.
The games test memory, concentration, spatial thinking and multitasking and on conclusion a result is delivered which collates the team’s ability as a whole. This multiple connectivity experience is sure to grab the attention of the restless target audience, but it remains to be seen if it will result in additional sign-ups.

Its still waiting for participant 4…. 5 mins later?
The Swedish Armed Forces have been brilliant for the last few years, targeting a wider audience including minorities and women. Questions is – what is the point? My borther is 20 years old, and not many of his friends were the slightest interested in joining the army regardless of the new, polished marketing efforts.
