A Step Off Comp? 30 televised events, 20 odd cities, streamed live with 1.5 million dollars in prizes, it’s the Sprite Step Off Competition. I’m not even sure what a step off is, but it will be interesting to see how this plays out, Sprite might have just set the path to engage target audiences on a mass scale! They’ve launched a “Step Off” competition nationally in the US for fraternity and sorority students to create teams and enter the step off.
The competition website has gone live, and it’s pretty cool in itself. A full video site with well art directed creative and it’s actually quite user friendly for a campaign site. Shame about the form to register though! Click here to check out the website. Will it generate brand buzz?
Was there an ad agency that created this? Any idea whom?
Do any body knows who won the Sept 12th show
I heard that commonground out of chicago produced the video and events.
The website was produced by Juxt Interactive (www.juxtinteractive.com) but has since been replaced by a content-driven site to cover what’s going on at the events.
Where do I find out what channel it will be on in my area?
Hey, I am a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and we stepped in the SPRITE Step-Off competition in Chicago this past weekend. The entire expericence was quite incredible up until it was time to announce the winners. When the cameras were rolling and the media was present, we were told we did not place. However, after the show was over and everyone was gone, officials let us know that they miscalculated the votes and we really won 2nd place. The whole competition was suspect and we were totally humiliated and hurt. We really feel that we put on a good, creative show that demonstrated the true essence of stepping. And now all we want is for people to hear our story.
