Facebook Sponsored Events: How to integrate facebook with Google Calendar

Facebook has never been a good events management tool for both organisers and attendees alike.  I spotted this sponsored event for the SYTYCD tour - I wonder what the real turn arounds on this are?

What first struck me is the call to action – there is no ‘remove from my events’ from the news screen.  So does this mean I need to respond and hence have a touch point with the Dance crew regardless if I want to or not? Or should I just ignore it and hope it goes away?

I think this is a great opportunity for targeted event invitations – however it’ll need to be done in a more user friendly way.  I believe it’s got an edge over the sponsored ads due to the call to action and clear detail list.

What do you think? Would you consider using this type of sponsored integration? Or, would you even click on one of these?

If you’ve ever had trouble keeping track of your Facebook RSVPs – a must for party goers etc. be sure to check out how to seamlessly integrate this with your iCal or Google Calendar using the Facebook calendar output URL.
