Facebook has never been a good events management tool for both organisers and attendees alike. I spotted this sponsored event for the SYTYCD tour - I wonder what the real turn arounds on this are?
What first struck me is the call to action – there is no ‘remove from my events’ from the news screen. So does this mean I need to respond and hence have a touch point with the Dance crew regardless if I want to or not? Or should I just ignore it and hope it goes away?
I think this is a great opportunity for targeted event invitations – however it’ll need to be done in a more user friendly way. I believe it’s got an edge over the sponsored ads due to the call to action and clear detail list.
