Get ready to make free calls, Skype (owned by eBay) is set to launch it’s first iPhone App today that will make calls from your iPhone free to other Skype users, via any Wi-Fi access point (possibly via 3G if Apples other deals don’t stand it the way) or users can make much cheaper calls to any phone with your skype credit.
The Skype iPhone App could possibly be the most downloaded app of the year, having over 400 million registered users of their traditional net-to-voice platform. The App will let you call anyone from your phone book, Internet phone book, chat online and even take conference calls via Skype.

Just checked the app store, and it doesn’t appear to be available yet. Is launch really on time? There is Skype Forwarding, but that appears to be different than actually having Skype on the iphone. Correct?
