Here is a new series of seemingly interactive YouTube Skittles ads, or at least you’ll be thinking that for the very first one! The new campaign of “Touch The Rainbow” ads has been released with the above Skittles Touch Cat ad already chalking up over 1.5 million views (the only one posted to their 15 million plus FB fans so far), and the four ads below collecting about 300k views each.
By putting your finger on the skittles mark, it will play a leading role in each and every ad, from quirky to the very werid. Obviously the guys over at DDB Toronto know just about every cat video racks up YouTube views like nothing else! Oh and have you seen the never ending skittles site?.
I’d love to here what you have to say on this campaign? Does it live up to the expectations of previous Skittles magic?
I’m obviously not in the demographic as I don’t find these remotely funny or clever. I’ll probably eat my words, but when i come back and check the numbers on YouTube in a few weeks time, I don’t think anyone is going to be very impressed.
i just looked at the numbers on youtube. sadly i stand corrected. that said, the video views progressively fall off the cliff from the first one to the last one.
