If you haven’t yet seen it, check out the new Skittles home page that has been converted to a twitter search, targeted to the word #skittles from any twitter post! The guys over at TechCrunch tested it out in a pretty funny way, and sure enough it worked a treat. It’s a fantastically brilliant idea, but incredibly risky as you’d see from the example on TechCrunch but it looks like their agency/marketing team is taking on that ?the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about??? approach, and good on them! I’ll try to track down some stats on how popular the word skittles has become on twitter! For me, it’s kind of like giving Skittles an extreme “social” makeover, sounds like it will be great to do it, but you never really know how it will turn out until you unwrap the bandages and look in the mirror!

You can still see the twitter version if you click on Chatter in the menu! Skittles have switched from Facebook to Wiki now

It’s now been changed to YouTube for the entry page (after entering your DOB). The Twitter page is still there under ‘chatter’ and Facebook is under ‘friends’.
