
To celebrate Scooby’s 40th birthday and also promote the upcoming movie, The Cartoon Network & Moxie Interactive have launched a digital campaign called “Scooby-D0o Yourself” to help generate buzz in the lead up to the movie release. Obviously it takes a lot from the Elf Yourself campaign idea but brings it down to a level where you can customise yourself in various ways to look like Scooby – perfect for that target market.
So if you’ve got kids, let them spend the next 15 minutes playing with this!

As mentioned on this very site, Avatar creators are going gang busters at the moment. The Elf Yourself campaign definitely struck a cord with a lot of people, including clients. Probably like a lot of agencies, we have received numerous requests for some similar concepts throughout the year.
Moxie has definitely put a lot of effort into the artwork creation & animation, to build a nice, simple flowing step-by-step wizard.
With the inclusion of simple webcam functionality, this would have improved the users experience. Allowing them to pose and snap funny photos on the fly rather than digging through old portraits that may not work in the system. The past few releases of the flash player have enabled great webcam experiences, and we are seeing it more and more with Augmented Reality and Flash Player 10.
