Ok, so I’m going to go out on a limb here… But this might be the BEST commercial iPhone App I’ve seen to date. It’s got a beautifully designed interface and just about every feature you would have expected, then some more! The new Pizza Hut iPhone App lets you create the perfect pizza from scratch from every ingredient available (even half/half it!!) then order it instantly from the app, plus while you’re waiting for the pizza, they’ve even supplied a range of funky little games to play to kill time! Very very cool. Click here to get the download the app. Built by IMc2 – who I’m sure are about to get every big iPhone app dev project for the next year! (via Adverblog) Am I wrong? Is this not the best “commercial” app out there?

Gotta admit, that is pretty damn neat. Looks like it could take a while, especially if you were ordering a few different pizzas, but probably faster than waiting on hold on the phone.
The games and the “shake your wings” could be seen as pointless but I suppose don’t hurt as extras.

It it fanstastic. Wish there were more fun apps like this for non-iphone users.

Wow – What an amazing little app. I don’t even like Pizza hut pizza, but I might give them another try just to test out the app.
Thanks for sharing.

Cool stuff, like this, like the way you can add sauce to your pizza, good work guys, yes its not the best commercial app…but its for all the i-pizza fans.

Cool app, but it’s not like I’ve been waiting for a better way to order pizza. Starbucks, maybe.

Nice execution but seems very gimmicky to me. If novelty is what Pizza Hut were aiming for they’ve certainly hit the mark. After ‘shaking my phone to sauce my wings’ once I’m not sure I’d care to ever do it again though. What’s the pay-off?

Whoa! did anyone else notice that the iPhone in that video can levitate!?
Is this not the ultimate app for stoners? You can play video games AND order munchies with it.

Very cute! I wonder how many people will use once to check it out? Then do a reuse, that would move it the step away from gimmicky to being really cool.

This is a great idea. Congrats Pizza Hut. Nice Job!
Casey makes a great point about the stoners. I think college students, 20 somethings and families-on-the-go would use it too.
To Bruce – I agree that we may not need a better way to order pizza. Though, I see this app like a refrigerator magnet for the iphone. It is going to keep Pizza Hut in the front of my mind when I want something quick and effortless.

That is so backward. Can’t the iPhone make the pizza for you?

hi all,
the graphics are good and well handled. but the pizza quality in UAE is really the worst ever can.

The idea of an App that let’s you order your pizza on your phone is great.
A tad bit gimmicky? Maybe?.
What this App has really done is allow the developers to show off their amazing iPhone abilities in a commercial sense with a global brand. Genius. As mentioned by Aden, these guys will have a great case-study to pitch for other massive corporate apps in the near future.
But… Upon using the iPhone App it asks you to log in (or sign-up at pizzahut.com). Now, if your on your iPhone and don’t have an account, of course your going to sign-up. However, the pizzahut.com iPhone site doesn’t have anywhere for people to sign-up? Is it just me, or did they miss that minor detail?

the app looks good, but functionally, i have tried it 3 times with no success.
first try: no credit card on file, took me to web site. what is point of being in the app then? can’t create an account in the app?
second try: had not ‘saved’ my ccd info the first time, although account was created. kicked back over to web site.
third try: got a back end error, order would not go through.
three times is enough of a poor user experience for me to delete it.
but yes, it looks nice. I just wish the new user UX was better.
after reading about their deceptive partner’s practices upon checkout on their site, i probably will not order from them online anymore anyway.
