This is a great little campaign for Nokia, created by Aardman and W+K, the stop motion film called “Dot” was shot entirely on a new Nokia N8 and is officially contains the words smallest stop motion character, at just 9mm. The entire set was no more than a metre and a half long, painted under a microscope by expert modelmakers and animated using tweezers!
It hasn’t gone viral just yet (it’s been online for about 3 weeks) but almost all its 200,000 views have come in the last 3-4 days, so there is a pretty good chance it will get picked up today / tomorrow. You can check out the campaign website here.

Lovely bit of animation, but it didn’t give me any kind of a clue as to what the point of having a microscope in a cell phone is (diagnosing illnesses remotely in the developing world, among others). Had to go to the Nokia site for that.
