So Nivea has invented a phone case, that when paired with an app, detects your body odour and provides a level of alert dependant on the severity of smell… But I’ve only got one problem with this play, and that’s the use case of the product, because I’m struggling to see who might actually use it. From an interaction and usability standpoint, putting on a special cover, opening an app, and then holding your phone under your arm is quite an ask… which makes me think, if you’ve taken the time to test your own smell, you probably already know you smell. problem solved! Apply Nivea.
