I’m a sucker for data visualisations, and here is a pretty cool one created with 12 months worth of Nike+ run data from NYC, set as both a digital installation in-store, and as a reward with the Nike Free Run+ 2 City Pack series.
The reward allowed customers to sync their runs to create a custom data painting, that was provided as a high resolution print for them to take home. While the Innovation Lab at Nike managed to laser etch the runner’s name, the distance they ran and their run path onto a custom fabricated shoe box, which contained a pair of the ‘City Pack’ shoes from their city of origin.
A very nice piece of data visualisation from the guys at YesYesNo NYC.
