One of the biggest things launched at CES 2011 was the new Microsoft Surface 2.0. If you haven’t seen the keynote I’ll post it below, but for a slightly more indepth look at some of the surface features check out this video above from the Microsoft social media team who jumped on it after the Facebook page went a little crazy asking for a more indepth demo.
While a few of the traits are quite similar to surface 1.0 the new PixelSense technology is what really takes the 2.0 version to the next level, with a screen that can literally see what’s on it. It’s starting to get very minority report! Retailing for about $7,000 a little later in 2011.

humbug aside I do see this becoming more of a standard creative tool in the future. photoshop and video editing on surface style hardware? I’m all for that.
