Mercedes-Benz UK are running a pretty interesting campaign called “Escape The Map“. It’s lead by a TVC challenging a much younger demographic to jump online and play the “Escape The Map Game”. I’ll be honest, it’s a pretty weird game, and that’s a dam expensive car, but you have the chance to win a new Mercedes C 63 AMG Coupe if you can escape the map, so I guess it will actually get plenty of people playing!
Basically, you’ve got to navigate through the interactive video experience, completely various challenges along the way to escape before your head becomes blurred out. If you escape, you’ll be in the draw for that car… Would love to hear your thoughts?

Very nice.
I can almost hear a film director somewhere cursing that they stole his film.
Will any young gamer will even get, let alone afford, the insurance on a £57,000 AMG 63 ?
Good catch Aden, but the car to be won is a C 350 Coupe, not the AMG C 63 (which is the car featured in the clip). Oh well…
Ahh got me on a technicality Raz!
Beautifully produced the the interactive experience was appalling. You had one choice to go left or right. I was really really let down. It was dare I say it boring.
The budget must have been enormous. I’m sure it will win lots of awards though.
This was not a game and there are no challenges involved..But getting called on my mobile took me by surprise..:)
I think it’s really cool! It’s very weird but has a good back story. Obviously it’s one big sales pitch for the car, but that doesn’t matter. And the people that play this now, might be able to buy that AMG in 10 years. It’s also more branding (take the flagship car and make it look awesome) then it is actually designed to sell this Mercedes.
Only thing I am really missing (played it for only 10 minutes though) is a social component. I do not have to involve my real friends in any way (which would obviously spread the game faster). But other then that I think it’s great!
