Mad Men is back and along with it comes a host of great content, including this weirdly wonderful 8-Bit YouTube “Choose Your Own Adventure” style Advergame that is getting some solid traction. It’s less than 5 days old and already over 300,000 people have played the game (or at least started it), plenty of the 40+ “level” videos geting 50,000+ views and even 20,000+ views a few levels deep.
You play as Don Draper, helping to rescue the agency after Lucky Strike betrays them. Each video provides an interactive element that steers the game into a different path through the 40 odd videos, in the hope of uncovering the 3 different endings… Weird. But Cool. Would love your thoughts!

This is in the style of ‘Leisure Suit Larry’. I like it. A good reference.

Not a huge fan of this, it seems way too clunky and the scenarios are pretty weak. Nice try with the old skool graphics but perhaps try harder next time!
I find it rather annoying when ads housed on Facebook, such as this one, then have extra advertising layered over the top (the Youtube pop up ads). Honestly – they are monetizing people engaging with their brand. Puts me right off.
