Jim Carrey Website
I stumbled across Jim Carrey’s crazy new website today and it’s wild – exactly how you’d expect the inside of his mind to work! It’s a re-toucher’s masterpiece mixed with full video, amazing sound effects and some very Monty Pythonesque scenarios. Seriously, the visuals are amazing.

You’ve kind of just got to go there to experience it. I spent about 15 minutes discovering the site, trying to find all the little easter eggs and quirky effects. The site lets your explore his history, films, latest news, behind the scenes footage and all sorts of other things. Warning – it is a little slow, a mix of the load times and intense flash work. Click here to check out the site.

Wow! Fantastic fun. Although I did then stumble into Carrey’s twitter account, which is thoroughly bizarre in a slightly less positive way.

Looks amazing but sooooo slow – gave up in the end

There was an article in the Toronto Star the other day about how riddled the site is with Toronto references (Jim Carrey grew up in Markham, just outside of Toronto)

Took a bit of time to load and all I can see is a bug….. ? No click area what so ever. Is this post an April first one?? lol

Makes me think what other celebrity sites are like and if they’re up to snuff. I would think that considering their status and a need for publicity that celebrity websites would be a fairly important part of their self-marketing.
