Meet JIBO, a real-life social robot that might just change the way you think smart objects and how you’d picture them in your home. And ok sure, this is a concept video, making it seem so fluid and responsive, so there is much to be desired, but… Will this be a robot that people would actually buy and integrate into their home? How advanced will the AI become? Well, with $1.2m of crowd-funding on Indiegogo, about 3,000 people think it’s going to be great!

The Robot is 11 inches tall, weighs around 6-7 pounds and has a swiveling circular head. The device itself is actually pretty simple and elegant, with a rounded design housing a machine powering artificial intelligence to learn your preferences and identify voices with 360° microphones and a dynamic smart screen.
