Here’s the latest social commerce infographic showing some compelling stats as to why brands are sitting up and taking notice of the potential ROI that social commerce can drive for them. This infographic was created by Spinback (e-commerce sharing plugins), which is now part of Facebook marketing company Buddy Media.
We’ve seen a few of these figures before but some of these are pretty new and when they are grouped together they make an argument for brands to start thinking about how they can integrate a social commerce element into their marketing mix.
This infographic shows that the predicted revenue for the social commerce market in 2015 will be over $30 billion. It’s great to see that we are starting to attribute more and more analysis into the results and effectiveness side of social media. We seem to be miles behind over here in Australia compared to other countries but here’s hoping that this year will see some great developments in this space. Who do you think is doing great social commerce work?

All true, but I note you’re posting this on a blog, not a social site. I would *really* like links to the sources.

So the owner of Facebook is showering accolades (with nice graphics) about a division of his own company.
Since when is propaganda considered news?

@Pete – we just post the infographics, and they generally have an embedded notation of sources / references. Sorry mate

Wow! Those are some seriously impressive statistics! Seems that social commerce is the next natural step for retailers. One suggestion: think about what you’re doing before you just rush to throw something up there. I think some of the online retail disasters we saw over the last few months were enough to send the message, that sometimes being a bit slow and very steady will help win the race.

@Tamara completely agree with you – there always needs to be some clear strategy before jumping into this space. It’s pretty exciting to think of the huge, currently untapped, potential that there is here for brands!
@Larisa thanks, I like them too, so easy to digest
