This is another interesting infographic, this time around how mobile is shaping the way social media is consumed. It’s interesting to see that from these stats, 25% or more than 100 million facebook users access from a mobile phone, and those who do, are twice as active on social networks compared to people accessing from a computer!
The 35-54 year old bracket is the most active mobile social users!

Brilliant one.
Its a slap in the face of all those corporates who keep thinking that Facebook and Social Media is only for teenagers.

Interesting post and I like the graphics. I would be interested to see how the iPhone itself has changed the face of social media. More and more people are swapping to Apples and I think the improvement in the 3GS has certainly had an impact on my usage of social media. Nice work keep it up.

Mobile is certainly the current big growth area in social media, and I imagine it’s development will only continue with the increasing adoption of services like Facebook’s new Places. These numbers show a definite continuation of our research last year (http://bit.ly/bDHFRl). Ultimately this is another extension of the increasing need for joined up marketing, with brands increasing their touchpoints and blurring the lines between on and offline transactions – this is a really good way to highlight the market potential, thanks Aden!
