So, if you are like me, and begged for a Google+ account invite from anyone who might have had a spare one 5 minutes after it launched, you’re probably also like me, who hasn’t logged into Google+ for over a month, and has not a single use for that service… well, not yet anyway!
So, here is probably the reason why! The first infographic round up of stats from Google+ shows that 72% of the total 26 million users are male (not sure that the “other” stat is right!!) with the platform costing over half a billion dollars to make, and most importantly, the user job types… well that are just like you and I, tech and creative people, with almost no extension into any other industry.

I think my math is failing me: 72% male + 28% female + 20% other = confusion?

Well,
I’m using it with really close friends. We upload photo’s (that are Private!) have discussions about nothing and so on..
Funny thing is that Facebook is inovating, inovating & inovating. Has Facebook ever been so active?

I haven’t yet been able to get a G+ account (well MY G+ account) based on the fact that it is still not available for their Google Apps Enterprise account customers.
Having seen it and how it works I am keen for it to catch on even though I am still not part of it purely from the selfish aspect that I want to retire stalkerbook but keep a way stay in touch with my circles..
I think today or just recently they released it to all users – so no more restrictions to needing an @gmail account so will be interested to see another one of these nfo graphs in a couple of months.
And how does one get a cross section of 20% ‘Other’ if your not a boy or girl???

Yeah… I think most people are in the “I’m not going to make the jump unless all the people I know do, too” boat. G+ is pretty neat, though. The interface has improved a bit in the last few months, too. I would love to use it… If only other people would actively use it, too.

Nope… you’re right… it’s wrong! Perhaps they cut the numbers who hadn’t classified a gender after the fact.. doesn’t make sense at all!
