If you’re wondering how to share physical or digital things, look no further, Microsoft has just showcased “IllumiShare” a real-time, low-cost, peripheral device that looks just like a desk lamp, only it happens to be fitted with a camera-projector pair where the camera captures video of the local workspace and sends it to the remote space and the projector projects video of the remote workspace onto the local space (if you follow where I’m going with this!)… (and thanks Alicia!)
It’s like a super version of any real-time collaboration tools you’ve ever seen and smashes straight video conferencing out of the park… Would love to hear your thoughts on the future of this tech?

My pleasure
Love this idea! Finally, Microsoft has started to create innovative things again instead of following Apple.

A techincal issue I see is the local lighting.
If you can see in microsoft demonstration, the lighting is very dim…My guess is if you are in a very bright room, you might not see the screen of the other person.
I believe that could be a big technical hurdle to the progress of this product.
