This caught my eye over at Blogilvy today and I couldn’t help but laugh my way back to those amazing Heineken Walk In Fridge Virals. But this time it looks like an IKEA bought walk in fridge and the only problem is trying to get it home! Loved the concept of creating an IKEA take home fridge, but they guys who created this could have done so much more with the idea, they needed to take it a lot further and hopefully they eventually do! Still a good laugh.
Surely an Ikea walk in fridge would come in a zillion flat packs?

Honestly, though, the reality is just as funny as the parody.
With two friends I managed to drag a 40 kg bookcase box home using nothing more than pedal power.
I’d like to see that ad redone with those guys each holding a corner while cycling. Trust me, any Dutchman worth his salt could do it. No prob.
Reminds me of the Chaser clip of them trying to get stuff on public transport.
Aden I’m pretty sure the stunt is a continuation of the Heineken campaign, not linked with IKEA.

Correct – It’s Heineken – but I was implying it’s the sort of thing you might expect to find in an IKEA launch – the whole pre-packaged type thing – Eg. a Walk In Fridge in a box!
