Building a personal brand is perhaps one of the most important things to do online though your social media profiles, but also one of the riskiest. More on this a little later. There are some very unique things happening in this area too which is really great to see, from pushing the boundaries of traditional portfolio design through to finding interesting ways to engage with people through existing and new mediums. There is a lot that is same old same old, but you can look through sites like http://mashupawards.com/ or http://cssbased.com and find so many unique ideas for branding yourself. The resources online are practically endless!
