I may be biased because this was in Sydney last night, but this installation from Hot Wheels is probably one of the best 3D projection mapping events I’ve seen yet, and certainly the fastest! Muse Amsterdam teamed up with Hot Wheels to for a secret race with the Skull Racers destroying Customs House at Circular Quay and deploying a crazy looking race track in the process.
The 3D Projection Mapping event for Hot Wheels lasted for just over 3 minutes, using some of the better depth treatments I’ve seen in this medium, combined with some of the usual water techniques, building fires and wall explosions. Did anyone get down there to see it?
