Here we are again, the Google Zeitgeist for 2013 has just been released, summarising the most popular searches for this year in a nice little video. What were we searching for this year? Google’s Amit Singhal, senior vice president, said “We want to find out more about our heroes, explore far-away destinations or settle a dinner-table dispute between friends.”

The British royal family feature first with the birth of the royal baby. This year’s round-up also remembers those that we said goodbye to with iconic figures such as Nelson Mandela, the number-one global trending topic of 2013, featuring heavily. The video closes with the unforgettable and heart warming BatKid story. Explore the full Google Zeitgeist site here. Enjoy!
