I’m sure there are a few of you who’ve been waiting for this a long time, but here it is, Google’s brand new, global, Alternate Reality Game called ‘Ingress’ which places you and your smartphone in the middle of a global mind control battle that you’ll fight out in real life, where ever you live…
You’ll have to request an invite here before you can jump into the action, so be patient as I suspect it will take a few days to get into the game, I’m still waiting for my invite. Unfortunately it’s only available for Android right now, but the iOS version is already on the way…

can u reconfigure the layout of your DBB page and move the FB, Twitter etc link box AWAY from the screen so that one can get to the controls?

Yeah, sorry! Super annoying bug at the moment… It’s on the list…
So it’s location-based and there’s an iOS version on the way… Awesome. That should double the confusion as people try to run it using Apple Maps.
