For a long time now, creating detailed interactive installations and visual walls has been tough, so Google made AnyPixel.js an an open source code and hardware library created to make easy to make interactive displays out of just about anything. With a base of great code, anyone can edit or transform it along with the schematics of the screen/lights/sensors .etc to create their own display at any kind of scale or complexity!

You can check out the very first one at their 8th Avenue lobby at the Google NYC office. It used 5880 off-the-shelf arcade buttons as pixels. And it’s awesome. Enjoy the code library here.
