Some of you have probably seen this piece of work over the last week, it’s a campaign by the Israeli Anti-Drug Authority which has created the world’s first Facebook Timeline campaign. Our friends at McCann Digital created us this video showcasing a gentle scroll through the drug addicted guys life, one side on drugs, the other fit and healthy, with the video working perfectly for our archives!
I suspect this will be the first of many Facebook Timeline campaigns to emerge early in 2012, where the challenge won’t be the ideas around how to use the timeline to communicate, but how to make it work with the way the timeline positions content, and importantly how to innovate with video, check-ins, connections and the like… What did you all think of the timeline?

I loved the concept but – although it’s a charity, therefore a non profit organization – it’s unfortunately illegal to use the Timeline feature in that way (confirmed by Facebook). Having said that, I’m sure Facebook will not shut the profile down…
