EpicMix: Social Skiing/Boarding Mobile App

This is a hardcore version of Foursquare and Nike+ combined, just on snow! Ok, well it’s not Foursquare or Nike+, but take that, times it’s functionality by about 50 and then you’ve got EpicMix, in what I’m going to call the ultimate snow tracker app. It’s the sort of app that will influence your decision on what mountain to go skiing at. EpixMix tracks your vertical meters and times like you are use to, but that’s about where the similarities end. This mobile app (Android + iPhone + Blackberry) tracks just about every stat you can imagine, marks off the runs you’ve done, even the new ones your discover, all via your lift ticket’s built in RFID tag , so you’ll be socially connected in real time as you share your runs and unlock special pins across numerous resorts.

Plus, it allows you to connect in real time to your friends while on the mountain, create leader boards for bragging rights, organise meetups through DM’s and Facebook friend locations. Then at the end of the day you can log onto the site, and review every moment of your trip through a fantastic interface. Click here to check out the site.       We’re really excited about EpicMix this season and think it’ll provide a new way to experience the mountain this year.
