Dunkin Donuts won’t die wondering how the web can help increase their business, they are in the
top 40 twitter brands with some great tweeting, syncing offline & online campaigns in their latest facebook campaign and have now just launched “Dunkin Run” which is a new quick order website & iPhone app combination.
Dunkin’ Run is a mobile/online ordering system mixed with with a social group ordering function that allows your friends to be sent an automated email where they select & place their orders into your Dunkin’ Order before you litterally run down the road to grab them.
Some of the app features include the ability to keep track of past orders, store favorite menu items, receive run reminders, cancellation notices, sync with Facebook to display your run status (that feature seems like it will get you in trouble!).
What I really love, is that the iPhone app has the exact same functionality as the website, something that rarely gets developed into mobile platforms. Check out the website here.

That Dunkin is a really cools app that I think could have many other applications developed for other industries.

‘Sweet’ app (pardon the pun…) Advertising nicely wrapped up as a tool for making all you time poor donut lovers lives a little easier…

It takes 1 min to get a coffee. Do they really need an online and mobile ordering system? seems odd to me..

Dunkin Donuts is starting to really push for integration across all their platforms, for both web and mobile. This is a great app that will set a good base for most retail brands of how Social can drive revenue.

Great post. I read about Baskin Robbin’s building a store locator application a little while ago. This take things one step further and allows the store to build traffic through non-traditional means that they may never had. If someone is doing a coffee run, I usually get a coffee “just because”, not because I neccessarily need a coffee!
I think the added functionality of keeping track of the user’s preferences gives a more personalized feel – something consumers want and enjoy.

Love this idea. Well thought out, well executed. Makes doing a group run so much easier and minimizes time waiting in line! Perfect
I also really like the design on the site.
