Diesel has launched their latest campaign; Diesel Island: Land of the Stupid, Home of the Brave. An interesting microsite concept to showcase items from their new range, on top of a pretty cool video the site takes you through the island’s history (including a suitably stupid national anthem), island street view that manages to take you to a hot model with every click and you can interact with the island community by lodging new laws, and voting out things you don’t want. (thanks Katy!)
To jump the border and become a citizen of Diesel Island, you just need to connect with Facebook to get started. Click here to check out the campaign or you can

Did anyone join the Diesel Island Nation?
Or do microsites just not really create that engagement desire anymore?
They could have made it to the PERFECT transmedia experience. It has all you need:
a brave brand whose products fit to a transmedia approach
a storyuniverse
humor, sarcasm, bravery
and so generate revenue from the interweb of story & brand
WHY is it just a fucking microsite??!!! ARGHHHH!!
The diesel island group is really cool…I like it!!
