Wow. This is a creative experiment from Dentsu London that explores the effects of “glowing rectangles” that are increasingly part of our every day lives. Dentsu worked with BERG, utilising iPads to create time-lapse, stop motion 3D light paintings for the project. Each iPad would play a pre-created animation of various shapes and sizes, that, when extruded in time-lapse would create words in the light paintings.
Dentsu and BERG used over 3,000 individual photos to create the film… Love it.

That was without any doubt in my mind THE most pointless waste of money I have ever seen.
I must say, I was pretty excited to see this after watching the Dentsu guy describe how they made it. But it kinda sucked. This is a classic example of just because you CAN do it, doesn’t mean you SHOULD.
@Mike – that’s why they just had fun with it and not create a campaign with it.
