How many times do you hear “I want my video to go viral”. To make this happen you have to create content that is pretty innovative, exciting and cool so that your audience will want to share. Well here’s the kind of video that ticks all those boxes. BWM Canada have released this “BMW 1M Vs Concrete Walls” video which has had over 300,000 views (at time of writing) in a few short days. It became the number one worldwide auto video on YouTube after just 2 days.
Aden Hepburn took time out of his USA trip to send me this video and I could tell it was going to be a good one. The title of the video makes you think that you’ll be seeing BMW cars taking on concrete walls and losing but this is pretty clever and keeps you on the edge of your chair as you watch it. fake or real, this vid is the best I’ve seen in a long time. I own an Audi too, but hats off to this. it’s the first good BMW commercial in a long time. Since the land speed record one for a decade ago.

Obviously fake though. Those concrete “walls” are just added in PP. Would have been nice if it was actually done for real, could have had some nice making of-videos and practice runs with cardboard dummies and so on. Now its just a cheap way of making something most people wont recognize as fake. Too bad.
I think same as Tobias. Adult people does not recognize digital composing and think this is for real. As for young people understand the 3D composition. But aaaahh is nice anyway! hahah

Whats interesting is the production mistake of the chopper shadow at 0:57 is replicated on the wall? I wonder how invested they were at fooling critics. I had to take a second look at the walls?
