With Transformers 3 upon us, Paramount Pictures have launched a global digital campaign prompting the movie in the form of a new social advergame called “Web Wars” that literally turns the entire web into your personal battlefield through a bookmarklet app experience.
The bookmarklet app let’s you challenge Facebook friends to a live, multi player battle across your favourite websites, creating destruction where ever you browse. As you progress through levels, new weapons, features and social bragging badges are unlocked to enhance the game while you climb the global leader board.
Bookmarklet apps are pretty cool, remember the M&M’s Invasion Game which went on to be hugely successful? So what do you think of TF3 Web Wars? (thanks Stefan of Creative Partnership)

Is this not just a very poor rip-off of Agency Republic’s Killzone 2 work from a couple of year’s ago? – http://vimeo.com/8580995
Very cool indeed…but a bit of a clone of the 2009 campaign for Killzone 2: http://www.creativeshowcase.net/campaigns/killzone-2-webgame
Hey Andy,
Yep – I’ve had a few tweets about that
Slightly inappropriate choice of background news stories for this promo perhaps?
